Community Guidelines
Last updated 28 September 2026
WorkAm works when employers and freelancers can trust each other. These rules apply to everyone, in job posts, profiles, messages, files, and reviews.
1. Be honest
- Use your real identity. No fake profiles, impersonation, or multiple accounts to get around limits or bans.
- Only claim skills, experience, and portfolio work that are genuinely yours.
- Post real jobs with real budgets. No fake listings to collect free work or personal details.
- Leave reviews that reflect your actual experience. Do not buy, trade, or pressure anyone for reviews.
2. Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, bullying, or hate speech.
- No discrimination based on ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- No sexual content or unwanted advances.
- Keep conversations professional and about the work.
3. Keep work and payments on WorkAm
- Do not ask to be paid, or offer to pay, outside WorkAm for work found here.
- Do not share contact details to move a contract off the platform before it starts.
- Deliver and discuss work in the workroom so both of you are protected if something goes wrong.
4. Not allowed on WorkAm
- Scams, advance-fee fraud, money laundering, or "work from home" schemes that ask for upfront payment.
- Illegal goods or services, or work that breaks the law.
- Academic cheating, such as writing exams or assignments for someone to submit as their own.
- Fake engagement, such as buying followers, likes, or reviews.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark.
- Malware, phishing, or files designed to harm other users.
- Spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or scraping other users' data.
- Trying to hack, overload, or get around the security or limits of WorkAm.
5. Reporting problems
If something feels wrong, stop and report it. For contract problems, open a dispute from the contract. For anything else, email support@workam.com with links or screenshots. We review every report.
6. What happens if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, issue a warning, limit features, hold funds linked to fraud, or suspend or close the account. Serious illegal activity may be reported to the authorities. See our Terms of Service for details.
